Today marks a milestone for Crow’s Nest Ranch and the entire Truckee-Tahoe region: the Nevada County Board of Supervisors has officially approved our Medi-Cal contract. This achievement is the result of nearly two years of relentless dedication, teamwork, and belief in our mission to make holistic, evidence-based addiction and behavioral health treatment accessible to everyone—regardless of financial status.
This approval isn’t just a win for our organization; it’s a powerful statement from our county leaders that they support the mental health and recovery needs of our community. It’s a testament to what can happen when passionate people work together for the greater good. Our Medi-Cal contract is not a finish line, but a new beginning—a comma, not a period—in our ongoing work to serve Nevada County.
Expanding Access: Placer County and Beyond
This milestone comes just weeks after we secured our Medi-Cal contract with Placer County. Now, Crow’s Nest Ranch can offer a full continuum of care—Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient (OP)—to Medi-Cal residents of both Nevada and Placer Counties. This means more individuals and families can access the personalized, compassionate treatment they deserve, right here in our community.

We remain deeply committed to building a robust Peer Support and All Recovery community—expanding meetings, gatherings, and resources for everyone from the sober curious to those in long-term recovery and our alumni. Our vision is to create a true recovery community hub: a welcoming space for meetings, events, and connection, where everyone can find support and belonging at any stage of their journey.
